As we continue making exciting improvements across the Lackawanna City School District this summer, we'd like to share a few important updates to help families safely access our schools and district services.
Temporary Office Access:
Due to ongoing construction, the main offices at Truman Elementary School, Martin Road Elementary School, Lackawanna Middle School, and Lackawanna High School are not open for regular in-person visits at this time.
Truman Elementary School and Martin Road Elementary School office staff remain in their buildings; however, families should not walk through construction areas or parking lots to access the offices. Please call ahead before visiting so staff can assist you safely.
Lackawanna Middle School and Lackawanna High School office staff have been temporarily relocated during construction and are not available at their usual office locations.
Lackawanna High School Summer Programming: Students that need to attend summer programming should report to Truman Elementary School every Monday - Thursday at 9:00 AM and enter through door 14 near the parking lot. All students that are recommended to attend summer program received a letter and phone calls last week. If you have questions about your child's summer school, please contact Lackawanna High School at the below phone number.

Truman Elementary Playground Closure:
Beginning this week, contractors will begin site work at Truman Elementary School. As a result, the playground will be temporarily closed and fenced off until further notice. The playground will not be accessible while construction is taking place.
We appreciate your patience, flexibility, and understanding as we complete these important capital improvement projects. These upgrades will help create safer, more modern learning environments for our students, staff, and families.
