For this week's Staff Spotlight, we recognize 1st Grade Teacher Alicia Morris.

"Since third grade, I aspired to become a teacher. I earned my bachelor's degree in elementary education and my master's in special education. I'm currently in my seventh year of teaching, having worked with children since I was 12.
I started my teaching career in self-contained classrooms, and now I'm in my fourth year teaching first grade in an ICT classroom at Truman Elementary, where I'm also in my second year as the first-grade level chair. Seeing the progress children make over the school year and witnessing their personal growth is incredibly rewarding, and I wouldn't want to do anything else!"
