Open House for Kindergarten begins at 6:30 pm on Thursday, September 7 in the student's classroom.
Open House for Kindergarten provides parents of Kindergarten students with an opportunity to meet the teacher, review classroom expectations, and learn more about their child’s school experience. Parents with their children will enter Truman Elementary School from the side parking lot, Door 14.
At 7:00 pm, in the cafeteria, resources from community outreach and community-based organizations will be available. Judith Faircloth, the district’s Parent Resource Center Coordinator, Community Outreach and Erin Reisdorf, Family Support Specialist of Parent Network, will be available. Nadine Noman and Hana Muthanna, Minority Support Specialists, will be available to help families in need of Arabic translation. In the main hallway, the PTA Sponsored Book Fair will be taking place.
Please note, there will also be an English as a Second Language (ENL) presentation in Room 9 that will begin at 6:00 pm.
